The letter "J"

From Alicia at Fructus Ventris, another game.

The rules are simple. Leave a comment here, and I'll give you a letter (either at your email or as another comment in the boxes). You take that letter and write ten words beginning with that letter, and what the word means to you and why, in your blog.

Alicia has given me the letter "J".

1. Jesus - Because He is my Lord and Savior.

2. Justice - Because even the smallest voice, even the most inconsequential person, deserves to be treated fairly.

3. Joy - Because life is beautiful, and because it is bestowed upon me by our Lord through His blessings and endless merciful love. And because life's too short to spend most - or all - of it in a neverending state of anger.

4. Joke - Because I met my husband while he was wearing a tutu and crash helmet (no joke). Through the two and a half years we've been together my sense of humor has, shall we say, become more...refined.

5. Jungen - The German word for "youth". Because I want to be a mother some day, modeled after the most blessed of mothers, Mary. And because my love for my children - yet to be seen - is already deep and vast and unconditional.

6. Jam - Because I love music. Once in a while, it offers me an escape of the imaginary variety, which are often the best kind.

7. Jacob - Because it was my grandfather's middle name, and I miss him terribly, even 13 years after his passing.

8. Jog - Because I really need to start whipping my body into a shape better than pear.

9. Job - Because I've always been a hard worker, and because finding a balance between work and family is of the utmost importance to me.

10. JK Rowling - Because she's one of my favorite authors, and because I wish I could make the same successful career she has made for herself.
