A prayer of thanksgiving

Lord,

Thank You for this day and the promise of a coming spring.

Thank You for the talents You have blessed me with and help me to use them in service and glory to You.

Thank You for the wonderful people who love and support me both at home and at work; bless and watch over them.

Thank You for my friends and the extended community of the blogosphere; bless and watch over those people I've come to know through the gift of technology.

Thank You for my husband, and help me to be a source of love and inspiration to him and help me to pattern my duties as a wife and mother after the Blessed Virgin, Mary.

We trust in You, Lord, to bless our union with the gift of children, who are the ultimate example of love in marriage and the ultimate example of You and Your love for mankind and life. We know you will send us children in the time and number you see fit. Help us prepare ourselves to be strong parents and true teachers of Your word, through our own faith and love in You...

...Bless my family and extended family and watch over them all.

I pray for peace throughout the world, that people live side-by-side as friends and neighbors, not enemies.

I pray for my brothers and sisters in the faith, especially those who are persecuted and threatened for their faith, and for those who suffer the pains of life and the lure of temptation.

I pray for those who seek to destroy life - whether through murder, terrorism, assisted suicide, or abortion. May their hearts be moved to see the value and beauty of every life, knowing mankind was made in your image.

I pray for our state and nation, that those in positions of power do not abuse their authority, but work to uphold justice and righteousness and to reaffirm the ideals on which this nation was founded.

Lord, I trust in you. I ask all the angels and saints to pray for me. Jesus, I trust in you.

Amen.
